We understand how difficult it can be to make the decision to rehome an animal. We will never judge the reason for wanting to rehome and if this section is left empty on the form we will ask no further questions. Although donations are greatly appreciated, we will never charge a fee to surrender an animal.
Rehoming
What Next?
Once you have filled out the form, we aim to respond within 24 hours, If we can accommodate your animal, we will arrange an appointment for you to bring them down to the store. If we are unable to accommodate them then we will assist you in finding a place in another reputable rescue or advise you when we may have space.
On the date of signing over the animal we will have a small amount of paperwork to fill in. This will include an option to receive updates up until they are adopted.
(Please note due to confidentiality we are unable to put you in contact with the new owner.)
The animal will then be placed in one of our quarantine rooms for a minimum of 2 weeks whilst we assess health and behavior. If you are wanting to view the rescue before rehoming with us there is no need to book an appointment, pop down and speak to a member of staff.
After the quarantine period the animal will be added to our website and social media and is now ready to be adopted
Anyone wanting to adopt an animal will be fully screened and must show proof of the intended accommodation and a good knowledge of the species requirements. We also provide lifelong advice and aftercare services.
